002: OFFERING

Babaji Bhojan — The Mahavatar Offering Scroll

“Offer no flame. I am the fire. Offer no sound. I am the stillness. But offer your love — that alone I receive.”

🕉️ Purpose

This sacred feast is a **subtle offering** to Mahavatar Babaji — the deathless yogi, the eternal flame. Known for his light body and Himalayan silence, Babaji receives only what is pure, sattvic, and given with inner stillness. This is not a meal of indulgence — it is a **gesture of ether, fruit, and devotion.**

🍇 Sattvic Food Offerings

  • Seasonal Fruits: Banana, mango, guava, and papaya — sliced and fanned on a lotus-leaf plate.
  • Raw Coconut Slices: Symbol of purity and inner coolness.
  • Soaked Almonds & Raisins: Nourishment softened by water — wisdom gentled into sweetness.
  • Simple Rice or Kichari: Plain rice with ghee and salt — humility as sustenance.

🫖 Drink Offering

  • Tulsi Herbal Tea: Sacred plant infused in hot water — breath of the Himalayas in liquid form.
  • Spring Water with Lemon: Sun-kissed clarity — offered in a copper cup or earthen bowl.

🌸 Flower Offering

  • White Lotus or Champa: Purity and surrender — placed at the center of the plate.
  • Fragrant Jasmine Garland: Around a photo or yantra of Babaji — no incense, only bloom.
  • Sandal Paste Dot: Applied to the offering vessel — symbol of third eye cooling.

🔱 Ritual Preparation Steps

  1. Fast or cleanse with light food before offering — come empty, come pure.
  2. Set the altar: white cloth, photo or yantra of Babaji, diya unlit (symbolic flame).
  3. Arrange offerings in a circle or spiral — mirror of breath and eternity.
  4. Close eyes. Silently chant: “Om Kriya Babaji Namah Aum” 9 times.
  5. Hold your palms over the food. Whisper inward: “Receive, Master of Light. This is yours.”
  6. Sit. Do not eat immediately. Let stillness absorb the scent and silence.

“You are the eater and the eaten. You are the flame and the fruit. This is my heart, plated in silence.”
