029: HEART MERIDIAN QIGONG

Scroll of the Heart Qigong Movements

“The hands carry the breath. The chest remembers the sky.”

This is a simple qigong routine that opens the heart center, clears stagnant qi in the chest, and nurtures joy through flowing breath and sacred motion. Can be practiced standing or seated.

💚 Element & Energetics

  • Organ: Heart
  • Element: Fire
  • Emotion: Joy (or sorrow, if blocked)
  • Season: Summer or emotional heat moments
  • Mantra: “I soften. I open. I radiate.”

🌬️ Simple Qigong Sequence (5–10 minutes)

  1. 1. Opening the Heart Gate (1 min)
Stand or sit tall. Hands float up chest-level, palms facing outward.
Inhale: open arms wide like wings.
Exhale: bring hands gently back to heart center, palms facing in.
Repeat with soft gaze. Feel the air open the ribs.
  2. 2. Heart Fire Fan (1 min)
Hands move in slow circle around heart as if fanning flame.
    Inhale: circle upward.
Exhale: hands float down like soft water.
Optional: smile gently as you move. This feeds shen (spirit).
  3. 3. Heaven and Earth Stretch (1–2 min)
One hand lifts to sky, one presses to earth.
    Inhale: stretch up and down.
    Exhale: switch hands.
Aligns heart between heaven (inspiration) and earth (grounding).
  4. 4. Hug the Tree (1–2 min)
Arms round forward like holding a large ball in front of chest.
Breathe into the space between your palms.
Feel heat, tingling, or presence. This is your qi. Stay and receive.
  5. 5. Closing the Scroll (1 min)
    Place hands on heart.
    Inhale: “I receive.”
    Exhale: “I return.”
Bow gently. Let the body seal the ritual.

📿 Optional Enhancements

  • Soft flute or wind chime soundtrack
  • Practice barefoot on earth, wood, or mat
  • Begin or end with heart tea: rose, hawthorn, or tulsi
  • Burn heart candle nearby for warmth and sacred scent

🪞 Final Invocation

“The heart is not only a drum.
It is a compass.
Let your movement be its rhythm.
Let your breath be its mirror.”

This scroll is complete. The qi has spoken. The flame is calm.
