027: DIY HEART CANDLE

Scroll of the Heart Flame Candle

“This is not a candle. It is a vessel of breath, forgiveness, and remembrance.”

A hand-poured, natural wax candle infused with essential oils, herbs, and heart chakra intention. Use for emotional healing, ritual calm, or as an offering to the self after sorrow or silence.

🕯️ Ingredients + Materials

  • 1/2 cup soy wax or beeswax (pellets or chopped)
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil (optional, for smooth finish)
  • 1–2 drops rose essential oil — opens emotional body, sacred softness
  • 2–3 drops sweet basil or tulsi oil — heart rhythm + sacred air
  • 1 drop bergamot or neroli oil — joy, clearing past wounds
  • Dried rose petals, mint, or hibiscus for decoration (optional)
  • 1 small glass or ceramic vessel (4–6 oz size)
  • Cotton wick with sticker base or metal anchor
  • Double boiler or small pot for melting

✨ How to Craft

  1. Affix wick to base of jar using sticker or melted wax. Hold centered using a clip or skewer.
  2. In double boiler, melt wax gently with coconut oil until fully liquid. Remove from heat.
  3. Add essential oils (never add over heat). Stir slowly clockwise.
  4. Pour gently into jar. Sprinkle dried petals or mint along the top if desired.
  5. Let cool for 2–3 hours. Trim wick to 1/4 inch. Label or bless with your own name.

💚 Ritual Use

  • Light before heart-healing practices: journaling, therapy, forgiveness, or self-holding
  • Use in bath, altar, or beside bed during grief cycles or emotional transitions
  • Pair with rose tea or breath rituals for full chakra immersion
  • Can be made as a sacred gift for someone in healing

🌿 Symbolic Layering

  • Rose: Unconditional love, heart protection, feminine divine
  • Basil/Tulsi: Breath, sacred longing, devotion
  • Bergamot/Neroli: Joyful lightness, emotional clarity
  • Mint: Breath + heart bridge

🪞 Final Invocation

“When this candle burns, let the walls soften.
Let the ribs widen.
Let your breath find your name again.
You are allowed to glow.”
