022: BURNOUT RECOVERY MEAL

The Ember Meal

Burnout Recovery + Prevention Bowl

Nourishment for Flamebearers, Founders, and the Energetically Depleted

I. Purpose

This is not a salad. This is sacred repair. The Ember Meal is a grounding, warming, soul-replenishing bowl crafted for those emerging from stress collapse—or walking the edge of creative depletion. It satisfies the gut, stabilizes blood sugar, and restores micronutrient stores with depth and satisfaction.

II. Principles

  • High Satiety: Protein, healthy fats, resistant starch
  • Adrenal-Supportive: B-vitamins, potassium, magnesium
  • Low-Inflammation: Gluten-free, dairy-free, low-histamine
  • Gut-Healing: Prebiotics, collagen, gentle spices
  • Taste-Driven: Smoky, savory, umami, warm, satiating

III. Ingredient Ritual (1 Serving)

  • Base: 1/2 cup cooked sweet potato + 1/2 cup cooked quinoa
  • Protein: 1 cup shredded rotisserie chicken (or grilled tempeh)
  • Fat: 1 tbsp tahini or avocado slices
  • Fiber/Gut: 1/2 cup steamed broccoli + 1/4 cup sauerkraut (or kimchi)
  • Mineral Boost: Sprinkle of pumpkin seeds or hemp hearts
  • Healing Sauce: Blend of:
    • 1 tbsp olive oil
    • 1 tsp miso paste
    • 1/2 tsp turmeric + black pepper
    • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
    • Dash of smoked paprika + cumin

IV. Ritual Assembly

  1. Layer the base (quinoa + sweet potato) in a wide bowl.
  2. Add the protein and steamed veggies with gentle symmetry.
  3. Spoon on the sauerkraut or fermented veg.
  4. Drizzle with healing sauce. Top with seeds. Rest your phone face-down.

Ritual Line: “As I eat, I rebuild the temple within. Flame returns. Strength returns. I rise from ember.”

V. Optional Enhancements

  • Top with a poached egg for deeper nourishment
  • Add ashwagandha ghee drizzle if Vata-imbalanced
  • Sprinkle with sesame salt for grounding mineral heat

“This is not a bowl. This is the resurrection of energy.”
