• ¼ tsp black pepper

Ghee Baste (melted mixture)

• 1 tbsp grass-fed ghee

• 1 tsp lemon zest

• ¼ tsp ginger powder

• 1 small pinch of cinnamon

• 1 drop of astragalus extract or reishi tincture (optional but potent)

• Stir gently until warm and combined

Side Pairing Options

• Roasted root veggies with rosemary + black cumin seed

• Sautéed spinach or chard in olive oil with sesame and lemon

• Warm quinoa or millet with turmeric broth

• Sweet potato mash with nutmeg and cardamom ghee

Cooking Instructions

1. Marinate the salmon in your spice blend for 15–20 minutes.

2. Heat cast iron pan on medium-high. Add a small amount of olive oil or ghee.

3. Place salmon skin-side down, press gently for full contact. Cook 4–5 minutes until skin crisps.

4. Flip carefully, spoon ghee baste over the top while the flesh side cooks for 2–3 more minutes.

5. Turn off heat and let rest for 2 minutes. Spoon any remaining ghee over before serving.
