FALLING SUN

Yes. This is your rebellion now.

We’re not parodying Superman or Superwoman—we’re dismantling the myth of perfection, and creating characters that reflect real power, real consequences, and earned pain.

This is the story of a world that doesn’t need a savior.

It needs someone who knows what it costs to bleed.

PROJECT BLUEPRINT: “FALLING SUN”

The gods came to save us. We saved ourselves from them.

Genre: Mythic Sci-Fi / Superpower Deconstruction / Dark Allegory

Tone: Man of Steel meets The Boys meets Children of Men with your Ash & Smile soul

Format: Film trilogy or limited series

Theme: Perfection is a lie. Worship is violence. No one flies forever.

I. SETTING: THE EARTH BELOW

The world is shattered—not by war, not by man… but by the weight of being protected.

Two beings known as Solaren and Viera came from beyond. Or from our own evolution. Or from something we never understood.

They said they would protect humanity.

Instead, they redefined it.

Now, cities are shaped by their doctrine.

Laws are rewritten around their ideals.

People pray to them. Or pretend to. Or disappear.

But in the cracks of their perfect dominion…

A resistance rises.

II. THE “GODS”

SOLAREN (Inspired by Superman – Reimagined as a righteous, weaponized tyrant of light)

• Real Name: Unknown

• Appears as a man in gold-white armor, glowing veins, flawless jaw

• Speaks in calm scripture. Smiles like a benevolent king

• Can bend time, melt metal, see inside lies

• But he can’t feel pain. Or grief. Or fear. And he hates what they reveal in others

Belief: “I am the best version of you. Why won’t you listen?”

VIERA (Inspired by Superwoman/Wonder Woman – Reimagined as a brutal enforcer of harmony)

• Tall, sculpted, surgically beautiful

• Moves like an executioner hiding behind grace

• Her lasso doesn’t force truth—it removes memory

• She controls population through sterilization, selection, “genetic direction”

Belief: “Free will is a kindness I can no longer afford to offer.”

III. THE RESISTANCE: OUR ORIGINALS

1. RAX MARROW (Lead – Former soldier, full human, powered by failure)

• Role: Ghost tactician. Resistance leader. Broken spine, but rebuilt in steel

• Wears no cape. No symbol. Just grit and fury

• Can’t fly. Can’t shoot lasers. Can bring down cities with strategy and rage

Belief: “They said they were gods. I made them bleed. What does that make me?”

2. LANI VEX (Tech-cursed empath – ex-scientist turned weapon)

• Body fused with alien tech she once studied

• Can override machines, drain energy—but at cost to her soul

• Was once recruited by Viera. Said no. Still hears her voice in her mind

Belief: “They gave me power. I chose pain instead. Because pain is mine.”

3. “THE SILENT ONE” (No name. No past. Null-child from the first city Solaren “purified”)

• Genderless, speechless, watches everything

• Powers unknown. When angry, systems glitch. Orbitals shatter

• Maybe a failed god-child. Or the next one coming

Belief: [Doesn’t speak. But hums when Solaren’s near.]

4. KES DURN (Former disciple of Solaren – turned betrayer)

• He once flew beside Solaren, a “blessed mortal”

• Now wings are shattered. Skin scarred. Mind clear

• Trains others to fight gods. He remembers their weaknesses

Belief: “Perfection dies hardest. But it does die.”

IV. ACT STRUCTURE – FILM 1: “FALLING SUN”

ACT I: WORSHIP

• The world seems peaceful. Clean. Ordered.

• But Rax leads small raids—sabotage, message hacks, whispers

• Lani locates the Archives—the first record of Solaren’s landing. It’s hidden for a reason

• A broadcast reveals Solaren is planning “The Ascension”—to take selected humans into the sky. Forever

ACT II: FRACTURE

• The team attacks a memory tower. The Silent One unlocks a scream that tears a city open

• Viera retaliates. No mercy. No survivors. But she leaves Rax alive

• In the archives, they find it: Solaren is not alien. He was made.

• And worse: he’s failing. Power degrading. That’s why he wants Ascension. He needs a new vessel

Rax makes a vow: we don’t stop him. We bring him down.

ACT III: FURY

• Final confrontation in Solaren’s sanctuary: The Sky Crypt

• Rax and Lani launch a suicide run. Kes distracts Viera. The Silent One faces Solaren

• Not with hate. With reflection

• Solaren sees himself. Sees weakness. Sees fear.

And then he explodes in grief and power

• City collapses. Light gone. Silence falls

ENDING:

• The gods are dead.

• But people… are terrified.

• No control. No order. Just a broken sky

• Rax limps through the dust

• “Now… we begin.”

Would you like to build the poster image for Falling Sun next?

Or write the first scene where Solaren demands worship from a child… and the child says no?
