I’ve been fasting once a week, after hearing about its many benefits from Paul Bragg.

I’ll start on an evening around 5pm, after that day’s breakfast and couple other meals. That way, my fast is split into two days. About 8 or 9 hours of it, I’m asleep.

I break my fast the next evening, around 5pm. Nothing rigid, just as soon as I start to feel hungry. Usually a few pieces of fruit to get it all started.

I have a weekly reminder on my calendar to do the fast, in case I forget by the time it comes around.

I set my intention and tell my body that we’re going without for 24 hours. My body obliges and does spring cleaning while I do whatever I feel like doing, usually listening to music or watching classic movies.
