About David Copperfield

March 24, 2016

David Copperfield is so good that I want to tell you about it.

But first, I’ve always wondered why people read fiction. I don’t see the point in it, other than entertainment or time-pass. But if I want entertainment, I’ll watch some tv show or a movie, not read a long book.

I do read a lot though, but out of necessity.
Nonfiction.
I want to lose weight, so I read health and diet books. I want to build muscle, so fitness books. Learn how to grow money, investment books. Usually there is an end goal with my reading. And shorter the book, faster the results, the better.

David Copperfield is 521 pages.
It’s fiction.
Doesn’t solve any immediate need.
And I love it.

The reason to read this book.
Imagine a highly observant guy wrote a diary to tell you all about his life and the types of people he met along the way. His successes and failures.

This would serve you as a guide because I guarantee you that these characters in the book are universal. You WILL run into these types of people at some point.

I’m only about 53% in and it’s taken me a long time to get this far. Originally got the book in late 2012, started reading maybe a year ago. Once I open it and get a couple of pages in, I’m lost in that world for at least a few hours.

It’s super good.
And oh yea, it’s free on kindle!
