Saturn’s return in your life and nothing was the same

November 26, 2015

What’s up.

I want to tell you about that old fuck named Saturn (jk, with all due respect, Mr. S). And how he affects your life.

When you were born, there was a certain planetary alignment up in the sky, depending on your date, time, and location of birth. Since everything in the universe is connected, and since you are a spirit coming forth to live a human experience, the skies reflect messages about your particular life. That’s the premise of astrology.

It’s up there as a clue for those interesting in searching. Just like there’s psychedelic mushrooms scattered around the planet, for anyone interested in finding out more about the spiritual dimension.

Saturn is the planet/god/metaphor for tough lessons learned in your life. Depending on which sign and house he’s occupying, that will be the area you will surely have difficulties and hardships in this lifetime. Through difficult times is when we learn best.

The cool thing is that Saturn returns to the same sign as your birth every 30 years. He comes back like a hurricane, asking if you’ve built your house out of sand or rock.

So look back at your life.
What happened when you were 29-30 yrs old? Did a lot of things change? I read a stat that the average age of first divorce is 30. Saturn forces us to grow up and sometimes dramatic changes are in order.

In my own life, quite a lot changed when Saturn returned.
That old bearded dude came back into Libra on November 14, 2011. November 13th is the first time I ever tried psychedelic mushrooms. Pretty wild.

There was quite a bit of inner turmoil going on in my life. I wanted a dramatic change. I ended up doing ayahuasca and quitting my job a few months later. I stopped hanging out with a lot of my old college drinking buddies later that year. Stopped binge drinking & eating. Focused hardcore on health, supplements, and lifestyle changes. Started inhaling books as if my life depended on it. Started cooking and being more of an adult.

Blogged and podcasted. Not because I wanted to, but was driven to it like a moth to a flame. Or how puke forces itself out whether you want to or not, after one too many long island iced teas. I should mention that Saturn is in my 5th house of creativity & public self expression. He forced me to be more creative, an area that was blocked for 30 years prior.

Saturn forced me to grow up. Age 30 was when I left my old youthful life behind and ventured into new unknown territory.

Saturn will come back two more times.
When we’re 60 and if we make it to 90.

I don’t know what to do with this information though!
Even if someone had told me about this in my 20s, I don’t know if things would’ve turned out any different. But it is interesting to see how Saturn plays out in other people’s lives.
