What’s Your R&D Budget?

June 10, 2015

Research & Development.

All the best companies have huge one.

All the best countries have huge one.
America’s 2014 defense spending was $610B while China’s was $216B. The third highest is Russia with $84.5B.

As a matter of fact, America has made a total of 68 aircraft carriers (big ass ships that carry planes) and China has only made 1 so far, with one more on the way.

Lee Kuan Yew, founding father of Singapore and a man known as one of the best rulers in history, said this: “Economically and militarily, they (Chinese) may not catch up for 100 years in technology (against USA).”

This is a massive advantage America enjoys because of their research & development.

R&D isn’t restricted to companies & countries.
We know Buffett, Munger & Gates read a ton of books.
Elon Musk said he read thousands of books as a child.

We know what Jim Rohn says:
“The book you don’t read won’t help. Miss a meal if you have to, but don’t miss a book.”

There’s an arms race going on.
The weapon is knowledge.
