Nothing Special

Warren Buffett does not like to travel.
So much so that he spends billions buying companies in other states and countries without ever seeing them. He likes to read, play bridge, run Berkshire, and live in Omaha.

Jeff Bezos has organized his life so he doesn’t have to travel for work.
He’s busy running Amazon in Seattle, and spending the rest of his time with family.

I read a Zen story of a master who went on vacation.
When he got back, the students asked him how the travels went. The Zen master said he saw some mountains. And rivers. And plants. Nothing special.

Travel is great for the closed-minded.
It will crack open their rigid views of the world.

But once your mind is open, travel is nothing special.
Just some mountains. Rivers. And plants.
