Magazine Cover Analysis (Maxim, Cosmo, Esquire, etc)

Magazines have perfected button pushing to get people to buy. Perfect headlines + cover pics. They have to be hyper competitive + are in a dying industry = thus they pull out all the marketing tricks for their covers.

Here I take a look at a few different magazines aimed at different niches to see the pattern.

Maxim = college dudes
Cosmo = college and/or young single ladies
Esquire = young professional males
Marie Claire = young professional females
Good Housekeeping = married women w/ kids (homemakers?)
Rolling Stone = music/entertainment lovers
