How To Visualize For Success (Law of Attraction + Michael Jordan)

My life’s mission is to have fun & be happy.

And to create massive amounts of abundance doing passionate things. What’s my passion? Self improvement, health, fitness, happiness, feeling good, sharing things I learn with open minded people, etc.

So part of the secret to massive success, I’ve learned, is to visualize success.

It’s the premise of law of attraction, channeled info, sports champions (phil jackson, michael jordan, etc), and psychology.

They’ve done studies where a group would visualize making perfect free throws, another group would practice making free throws, and the last group would do neither.

The ones visualizing got similar (or better?) results to the ones actively practicing.

Anyways, my point of this post is not to explain the details of visualization.

It’s to share what I noticed about myself yesterday while doing this mental exercise.

I visualize TOO SMALL!!

I did not know that til yesterday.

I’m reading this book by Orin & DaBen (wonderful channelers) called Creating Money: Attracting Abundance.

I want to create massive amounts of cash so that I can continue living my current lifestyle. I just want to be able to read whatever book I want, not work at a job I disklike, spend my time improving myself and sharing whatever I learn with likeminded people for the rest of my life.

Ok, so I was doing one of the first exercises in that book. It’s to imagine something you really want to attract into your life. Something small.

So I pictured a gold coin. I pictured exactly what it would look & feel like.

Next step is to imagine another object, something even bigger & better.

I really was at a loss thinking of something. I thought: I don’t want anything more. Then I thought: well what the heck is wrong with me? This is just a mental game, I can picture ANYTHING.

So then I pictured a huge diamond.

But that took me a while for it being ok for me to imagine that.

That’s when I realized I visualize too small!

I always say to everyone that I just want to make $10,000/month in passive passionate income to be set for life.

One of the rules Orin & DaBen mention is that we should visualize super big. Way more than what we think we want.

It was really tough for me to visualize $50,000/month, then $100K/mo. Then I got it.

Why not just dream of whatever I want?

I went up to 500k/month. Then 750k/mo. 1M/mo. 500M/mo. 1B/mo!!! 500B/mo!! 1 trillion/mo.

Why the fuck not? That’s the real question. Why the fuck can’t we just visualize whatever we want?

It was a real break-thru for me.

Because there are people making massive sums of money. Oprah. Michael Jordan. Jay Z. Bill Gates. Warren Buffett. Steve Jobs. Tony Hsieh. Jeff Bezos. etc.

I never even let myself dream to that level. Why not?? They all put on their pants one leg at a time. They all have to eat, sleep & go to the bathroom. There’s nothing special about them that we don’t have. They are just all human beings. They all were born, grew up and will die.

I must not be the only one doing small visualizations, right?

Do you ever let yourself day dream that you’ll be the richest person in the world? No? Then why not? It’s FREE to visualize. There is no loss or cost. If you don’t make it, oh well. You’re no worse off than where you started.

Lastly, I wanted to mention something that was an awesome life-changing read.

I read Michael Jordan’s For the Love of the Game: My Story.

If you haven’t read this book before, I highly urge you to follow that link, click on “used” and buy a copy. There are used ones available for $0.43 + $3.99 ship!!!!

Less than $5 to read one of the best books on visualization & inner game written by one of the best success champions of all time.

Michael’s biggest strength wasn’t his height or physical skill. It was his strong mental focusing powers. He mentions all of that in this book.

It’s one of the weirdest books I’ve ever seen. Every page is written in a different format, using different fonts and colors. Sometimes words are written sideways. Every page has a beautiful picture that goes along with the words.

It’s very psychedelic!

And he talks about how he always visualized making the last shot. How his dad knew & predicted things about him before he even believed it. How he believes things are meant to be.

Michael is a natural practitioner of law of attraction. Every single thing I’ve learned that people would classify as “esoteric” or “out there” – Michael practices!

He just doesn’t call it the same term. He never says “law of attraction” or “channeling” but he follows the exact formulas as those teachings.

Anyways, I hope this sparks a thought in your mind as well. Do you visualize? If so, do you allow yourself to dream big? How big? Can you go even bigger?

Just for fun, I visualized going to Whole Foods today before I actually went.

I pictured driving perfectly and peacefully, finding the perfect parking spot in the front, finding the things I want with ease, smiling & making eye contact w/ random women, etc.

This sounds too good to be true but all those things happened! In ways better than I could have imagined.

As I pulled up to the lot, the first spot closest to the store became available at the exact moment as I got there. And more things happened but I won’t get into the mundane details.

This stuff is real!

One more thing I’ll say is that I was detached from the outcome.

That’s something I was lacking in the past. I visualized the perfect Whole Foods trip, then forgot about it while driving.

I really didn’t care if I did get the front row parking spot. But when it happened anyways, it was like a pleasant surprise.

This detachment is important I think. Not caring what happens.

“I wrote myself a check for ten million dollars for acting services rendered and dated it Thanksgiving 1995. I put it in my wallet and it deteriorated. And then, just before Thanksgiving 1995, I found out I was going to make ten million dollars for Dumb & Dumber. I put that check in the casket with my father because it was our dream together.” (source)
